Walter Reece

1923:  "The Pickens Sentinel", Pickens, SC, issue of 17 May 1923:
MARRIAGE - Married, at the Pickens Mill on May 6th, 1923, Mr. Walter Reece and Miss Elvie Anderson both of Pickens.  Mr. Reece is a son of Mr. John Reece and is a prosperous farmer.  Miss Anderson is a daughter of the Rev. C. R. Anderson one of among our best  citizens and a mighty good man.

After the marriage the groom and bride motored to the home of the groom where a nice repast was awaiting them.

M. F. Hester, N. P., performed the marriage ceremony."

Occupation:  Noted for abilty to drive oxen.  Later worked at Pickens Mill, and for years walked the four miles to work each day.
