From Sharon Fox: " When he was younger, he rodeoed a lot. Jack always wore his boots, jeans and cowboy hat. Jack loved to fish and he always had his own worm beds. His occupation was very unique, he made and sold western horns, he traveled all over the U.S., in the Southwest mainly, he sold the horns to western stores and to movie studios. He lived his entire life in Brown County, the center of Texas. He died on April 13, 1984 in Brownwood, Texas, he had Alzheimer's disease, and died of congestive heart failure. He was a colorful man and everyone has a fond, funny story to tell about Jack."
